Alanna Yatco is a highly skilled Certified Phlebotomy Technician with a strong background in healthcare administration, patient care, and laboratory operations. With a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from California State University, Long Beach, where she graduated with a 3.85 GPA, Alanna combines her clinical expertise with a deep understanding of medical systems, billing, and administrative processes.

She is experienced in specimen preparation, insurance verification, EMR/EHR systems, and medical billing and coding. Her ability to multitask and adapt to fast-paced medical environments makes her a valuable asset to any healthcare team.

Alanna’s diverse experience includes working as a Team Lead Phlebotomist at LabCorp, where she managed a team of 13 professionals, and serving as a Phlebotomist at major institutions like Kaiser Permanente, PIH Hospital, and Providence Hospital. She has extensive hands-on experience in venipuncture, microbiology specimen handling, and laboratory processing, as well as expertise in administrative support, policy development, and business expansion strategies from her time as an Administrative Assistant at Sanare Mind and Body.

Joni Williams

Joni began her career journey with aspirations of becoming a radiologist, but along the way, she discovered a phlebotomy course that completely changed her path. What started as a new curiosity soon became her true calling. For over 12 years, Joni has worked as a dedicated and skilled phlebotomist, developing deep expertise in patient care, precision, and efficiency.

Her years of hands-on experience have shaped her into a compassionate professional who takes pride in making every blood draw as comfortable and accurate as possible. Now, Joni is excited to share her knowledge and passion with future healthcare professionals. As an instructor, her goal is to help students master both the technical and human sides of phlebotomy—combining skill, confidence, and empathy.

Joni believes that through proper education and mentorship, phlebotomists can elevate the standard of care and ensure every patient’s experience is positive, professional, and reassuring.
