Virginia Jamison

holds an Associate’s Degree in Health Science from American River College in Sacramento, providing her with a strong foundation in Anatomy, Physiology, and Microbiology. Her extensive career reflects a deep commitment to patient care and laboratory excellence.

Virginia has served in diverse healthcare environments, including the California Department of Corrections at Mule Creek in Ione, and the El Dorado County Health Facility, a 24/7 acute psychiatric care center. She has also contributed her skills to mobile phlebotomy teams and community wellness clinics.

Prior to these roles, Virginia dedicated 27 years to Kaiser Permanente, gaining extensive experience in Transfusion Services, Microbiology, Specimen Send-outs, and both Neonatal and Geriatric care. Her broad expertise brings a comprehensive, compassionate approach to every facet of Laboratory Services.
Driven by a passion for quality care and precision, Virginia shares her knowledge with the next generation of healthcare professionals. As she often says, “Anybody can take a pulse—it takes skill to draw blood.” This belief fuels her dedication to teaching and mentorship in the medical field.
