Here are the steps along with a brief timeline:
1. Complete your 40 hours of hands on classroom training (2 weeks if you select a weekday option, 5 Saturdays if you go with the Saturday classes).
2. Complete your 40 hour Externship (this is typically done over a 1 week period of time).
3. Pass the National Exam (we recommend taking a few days to study before taking the exam).
4. Once you’ve passed the exam you need to submit your application to become a Licensed Phlebotomist (your approval can come in as soon as 3 weeks or as long as 3 months depending on how long it takes for the application to be processed).
